East-West Center Asian studies resources

Started in 1960 by the U.S. Congress, the East-West
Center's mission is to "strengthen relations and understanding
among the peoples and nations of Asia, the Pacific, and the United
States." The Center's website at http://www.eastwestcenter.org/
publicizes recent research related to their area of focus, lists
related events and workshops around the globe, and opportunities for
professional development. The East-West Center also sponsors
fellowships, scholarships, academic exchanges, and professional
development awards; see http://www.eastwestcenter.org/scholarships-fellowships/ for more information. A good resource for Asian studies students and teachers at the K-12 or university level!
